It’s not Gold. It’s not Bitcoin. It’s not even a Charizard 1st Edition card. It’s Attention.

It’s the reason why brands rise and fall in a matter of years, why your friend Khaby can wake up at 10pm, work 2 hours and call it a day while most people are stack in a life of quiet desperation working their 9 to 5 with a wage that force them to choose between organic food or full tank for their car.

In 2 minutes or less I will show you how attention can completely change your life.

ATTENTION is an evolutionary trait

Attention goes a long way and can be applied at any level of the evolution chain:

The one below is the superb bird of paradise. He dances to get the attention of a potential mate.

The one below is Khaby Lame, the most watched tiktoker in the world which this year only, made $20 mln with the platform.

The Attention I want to focus on today falls under the spectrum of Storytelling. Specifically the one created with a camera or a phone.

And we, as humans (forget about the pretty bird for a second) in terms of attention we have gone full circle.

We started with silent cinema — think Charlie Chaplin, who moved audiences without a single line of dialogue.

Then came the golden age of deep, slow, cinematic masterpieces like The Godfather or Schindler’s List. I used to go to the cinema watching these films that took their time, trusted the viewer’s patience, and delivered emotional weight through every frame.

Sydney Pollack once said he envied European directors, not because of their technique, but because they didn’t have to entertain, they were allowed to just focus on art.

Now we’re back to hyper fast, (even silent) visual storytelling.
15-second videos fighting for your attention in the first 3 seconds.
The screen has shrunk, the stakes have risen, and every second must justify its place.

It’s not regression. It’s evolution with new rules.

And to the ones that do not evolve, you know what is happening?

This is a Dodo. Do you remember it? It became extinct in 1681, roughly less than a century after it was discovered by humans because he could not fly, it was overly friendly and did not evolve fast enough.

\That’s a lesson I like repeating to myself often.

DO NOT Stay in Your Lane

Have you ever been given this advice?

Worst thing another human being can suggest you. Growing up I heard it a lot regarding any aspect of life and it took me decades to rewire my brain against it and figure out most people know nothing about the real world and even less about what will happen in the future (and most people projecting their insecurities and regrets onto others).

I always felt there was something wrong in the lifestyle most people accept as standard, from working 40 years in a job you don’t like, to the food you deem as normal to aiming for mediocre (which will always be a safe bet by the way, but meh) so for the last decade treating life and business like a Rubik’s cube.

There are many paths to the same peak, but to me it has always been storytelling and a camera (with occasional detours).
