Trump First Day Back in Office
What will Trump's Health policies mean for YOU?
PROMETHEUS LAIR
Make.Every.Breath.Count
Welcome back to another release of ProMyth, coming to you hot and with a lot of froth (macadamia milk please).
A lot has happened in the last weeks and although this is not a political newsletter (and regardless of your views) a change of guard in the white house will have implication for most of us (unless you live off the grid, maybe).
So, with no further ado, here’s what changed with Trump stepping in (in 60 seconds or less)
What Trump did on Day One
Withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO): He signed an executive order to exit the WHO, citing concerns over its handling of global health issues.
Executive Order on Gender Definition: Mandated federal recognition of only two sexes, male and female, based on biological attributes at birth (also initiating steps to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military).
Reversal of Prescription Drug Cost Reductions: Trump revoked a 2022 order aimed at lowering Medicare and Medicaid drug costs, affecting initiatives like capping generic medication copayments.
Reinstatement of the Mexico City Policy: He reintroduced the policy prohibiting U.S. funding for international organizations that provide or promote abortion services.
Plans to Revoke the Affordable Care Act (ACA, you know it as Obamacare): Trump expressed intentions to dismantle the ACA, aiming to replace it with an unspecified alternative.
Establishment of a Commission on Chronic Illnesses: He announced the creation of a commission to investigate the rise in chronic health issues, focusing on potential causes and preventive measures.
FULL Pardon to Ross Ulbricth, the creator of Silk Road website where people were able to purchase anything (drugs) with Bitcoin. He was given 2 life sentences + 40 years and taken away ~30.000 BTC.
This made me angry for years and I was so happy to the news. Not health related (apart from Ross). I just wanted to share it.All these will divide many people. I come from a country that offers its citizens free quality health care I always found it alienating to see health being treated as a business some people can’t afford.
Things are changing (a lot) and only time will tell if it will be for the best or for the worst, but one thing I’m very excited about, it’s this guy:
The uncle we all wished we had
(a fit lawyer that kicked asses for a living now spreading the gospel of health like the planet’s survival depends on it, right after a cringy photo)

You might have heard of MAHA: Make America great again.
The one above is uncle Robert, Now Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS)
Your mum does not invite him often at dinner because she is tired of hearing that tap water is poison, canola oil is destroying her health and fast food is not real food.
So you don’t see him often, but when you do see him, the house is shaken for few good days.
This is what this guy aims to do, to your mom and all the households in America (and hopefully the world will take notice):

Make America Healthy Again (MAHA): Robert (I call him Robert) aims to combat chronic diseases by promoting healthier diets, banning processed foods in schools, and addressing poor nutrition.
Legalizing Marijuana & Psychedelics: Proposes legalization, using tax revenue to fund addiction recovery programs.
Dietary Guidelines Reform: Plans to revise U.S. dietary guidelines to reduce ultra-processed foods and additives.
Medicare Payment Reforms: Aims to reshape Medicare payment policies, potentially limiting the American Medical Association's influence.
Vaccine Safety: His vaccine skepticism raises concerns about its impact on public health programs → Before you might get offended by this paragraph, he stated many times he is not an anti-vax like you cool kids like to call them, but he wants vaccines to be toxicity free. He wrote a book called The Real Anthony Fauci for which he was never sued regardless of the accusations he makes. Fauci was given a preemptive pardon from Biden during his final hours as a president.
A decade ago Robert DeNiro released a Vaccine documentary at his Tribeca Film Festival to create a healthy debate. He had to remove it promptly after receiving death threats.Until covid you could not question vaccine safety, yet now RFK is investigating the connection between autism and vaccines, which went from 1 to 2500 in 1980 to 1 to 36 today → if you don’t know in 1986 Ronald Reagan (the actor and then president) signed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA), with the purpose of stabilising the vaccine market by reducing the liability of vaccine manufacturers and launched the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP), a no-fault system to compensate individuals who experienced vaccine-related injuries or death in order to reduce the legal burden on manufacturers (billions).
So, kind of a big deal.
I see both things I like and things I don’t, so time will tell.
What I’m happy of is that the elephant in the room is being address (health and food) and what has been labelled for years as conspiracies now is under presidential scrutiny.
Books I’m reading
I’m devouring this BOOK → David Icke is the conspiracy uncle your parents have to hide the alcohol from and they don’t want to spend too much time with because they see him as cuckoo banana, but many of the things described in the book (from 2011) in detail are our current present time. Goosebumps.
What I’m watching
I keep advertising this animation to all my friends having kids:
Avatar - The Last Airbender
This show is filled with everything a kid needs to grow with healthy references, plus the story telling and the animations are spot on.
Tools I’m using
I discovered this the other day and I find it genius: Napkin.ai helps you turning text into visuals. The life saving tool for any brainstorming, presentation, creative newsletter and OCD humans out there (me included).
Quote that stuck
"When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you see the real you, or what you have been conditioned to believe is you?" David Icke
Have a wonderful day. Talk soon,
Luca
